  • In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of Parents Place, Claire provides consultation and education to parents with children of all ages and consults with preschool teachers and family childcare providers about early childhood mental health and optimal childcare environments. She works with educators to develop informative and effective workshops for parents and caregivers. A professional who has worked with parents and children for more than 35 years, Claire specializes in early childhood mental health, the social and emotional development of children 0 – 6, attachment issues, temperament, methods of parenting, parent/child communication, and childhood trauma.

    Claire also teaches in the Child Development Department at Santa Rosa Junior College and at Sonoma State University. She has a master’s degree from Pacific Oaks College, with an emphasis in teaching adults and leadership in education. She also holds Triple P Positive Parenting certifications.
