John Gusman

  • A former teacher, John has been a clinical supervisor for more than two decades, overseeing the work of our clinical team. John offers consultations to parents of children of all ages (including teens), family and child counseling, and child play therapy. His particular areas of expertise include managing life changes—such as moves, divorce, death, and changes in school—as well as limit-setting, discipline, infertility, and adoption-related issues. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, and his MSW from the University of California, Berkeley, where his emphasis was on clinical work with children and families. He also completed an internship at the Stanford University Department of Psychiatry.
