Karen Kaplan

  • Karen holds a BS and MS in speech/language pathology, and has more than 30 years of experience working in the field of autism spectrum disorders and other similar learning differences. She founded and served as director for the Kaplan Foundation, a residential school for children with autism spectrum disorders, for 20 years. Most recently, Karen served as executive director of Oak Hill School in Marin City, and she has extensive knowledge of resources for children with autism in the Marin community and in the greater Bay Area. Karen consults with families and school personnel on topics that include advocating for your child’s needs, understanding communication and sensory challenges, diagnosing autism spectrum disorders, and refining your child's IEP goals and objectives.
