DonateThank you for your interest in supporting Parents Place. There are many ways to give, and several programs are in need of your help at this time: Emergency Family Assistance FundDuring this unprecedented recession, demand for emergency assistance is increasing dramatically as growing numbers of families need help with basic essentials, including, food, shelter, financial assistance, and crisis intervention. Your support can help families avoid eviction, stay healthy, and regain self-sufficiency. Scholarships for Parenting Workshops, Consultations, and Family CounselingYour support can provide scholarships for low-income families to attend classes and receive individualized guidance on managing a wide range of parenting challenges--from sleep and discipline issues to parental anger and co-parenting through divorce. Center for Children With Special NeedsFor families of children with learning, behavioral, physical, or emotional disabilities, the challenges can be overwhelming. Early identification and treatment are essential to helping the children achieve their highest level of functioning. Your support of our Parents Place Center for Children with Special Needs can make assessment, diagnosis, and care coordination possible for families who cannot otherwise afford these services. Youth Service Learning and Mentoring Program ScholarshipsYour support can help middle- and high-school youth connect to our community and develop self-esteem and leadership skills by participating in service learning opportunities at JFCS, including Team Tzadek and Summer IMPACT camp. You can also support the healthy emotional, behavioral, and academic development of at-risk youth through our On the Mark mentoring program, which matches youth with adult positive role models for weekly visits. Food PantryPlease give to our Food Pantry to help Marin County families in need. It's easy for each person to make a big difference:
We welcome your donations of non-perishable food, including: canned chicken, fish and beef; prepared food (macaroni and cheese, beef stew, chili); grains and pasta of all types; prepared spaghetti sauce (bottled or canned); hot and cold cereals; hearty soups; baby food; and canned vegetables and fruits. There are many ways that you can help us to fulfill a very basic mission of our tradition: No one should go hungry.
