Rebecca Wood Breen, LCSW

Coordinator of Parents Place

In addition to coordinating Parents Place programs, Rebecca offers parent counseling and consultations to address challenges and concerns that arise at home and in school. Her other areas of expertise include play therapy, behaviorally focused treatment of high-risk children and adolescents, post-traumatic stress disorder in children who have experienced physical or sexual abuse, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), and resources for parents of children with special needs. Rebecca holds her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bates College and her MSW from the University of Michigan, where she focused on interpersonal practice with children, youth, and families. She also received a Civitas Fellowship, which provided her with specialized training in issues of child maltreatment.
