WelcomeWe have two offices on the Peninsula: in San Mateo and Palo Alto. Explore our offerings here and come visit Parents Place at our locations soon. We also offer parenting services to go—at your office, community center, preschool, etc.—through our Parents Place Community Education Program (see At Other Sites). Our staff and services make us the Bay Area's leading family resource center, providing a place for parents to get education and counsel about parenting and a place for children of all ages to find peer support, social networks, and guidance on their developmental journey. In addition to a wide variety of parent-child play groups and expert consultation on parenting issues, we offer each month many dynamic workshops and presentations on timely topics, including praising children, overscheduling children, and positive discipline. Striving for innovative, cutting-edge, and evidence-based services, we have taken the lead in developing highly effective programs that make a positive difference for many in the community. Among these programs are our bullying prevention workshops, based on the Steps to Respect model, that are geared for educators and parents, as well as our Family Ambassador Program, which trains resource specialists to work with low-income families with young children.
