Thank you for your interest in supporting Parents Place. There are many ways to give, and several programs are in need of your help at this time:

Scholarships for Parenting Workshops, Consultations, and Family Counseling

Your support can provide scholarships for low-income families to attend classes and receive individualized guidance on managing a wide range of parenting challenges—from sleep and discipline issues to parental anger and co-parenting through divorce.

Center for Children with Special Needs

For families of children with learning, behavioral, physical, or emotional disabilities, the challenges can be overwhelming. Early identification and treatment are essential to helping the children achieve their highest level of functioning. Your support of our Parents Place Center for Special Needs can make assessment, diagnosis, and care coordination possible for families who cannot otherwise afford these services. 

Youth Service Learning and Mentoring Program Scholarships

Your support can help middle- and high-school youth connect to our community and develop self-esteem and leadership skills by participating in service learning opportunities at JFCS, including Team Tzedek and Summer IMPACT camp. You can also support the healthy emotional, behavioral, and academic development of at-risk youth through our On the Mark mentoring program, which matches youth with adult positive role models for weekly visits. Turn Your Car into Care

With one simple phone call, you can help provide essential services to at-risk children and families in our community. Together we can help children succeed in school, strengthen families, and remedy problems before they become insurmountable through this special program. You donate your car, and our service picks it up and handles all of the paperwork. The funds raised go directly into programs for children through Parents Place.

Food Pantry

Please give to our Food Pantry to help Peninsula families in need.  It's easy for each person to make a big difference:

• Can you contribute non-perishable groceries each month?
• Can you encourage others who may want to help?
• How about organizing a food drive at your child's school, or inspiring your book group to "adopt" the JFCS Food Pantry as a special project?
• Can you make a cash contribution earmarked for the Food Pantry?

We have a food pantry at each of our offices in Palo Alto and San Mateo.

There are many ways that you can help us to fulfill a very basic mission of our tradition: No one should go hungry.
