Parent / Child Activities

Parents Place is a caring, family resource center with two Peninsula locations that offer quarterly Parent/Child workshops and a wonderful drop-in play center for parents with their children, ages 0 - 5. The Palo Alto Drop-In is open Tuesday/Thursday from 10:30 - Noon and Wednesday from 3:30 - 5 p.m. The San Mateo Drop-In is open Monday/Friday, 9:30 - 11 a.m., Tuesday, 4:00 - 5:30 pm and Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. - Noon.

From Infant to Toddler: I'm Not a Baby Anymore! (9-15 months) (February) - Discuss the milestones of this dramatically changing time while your child plays.
TWINS Drop In (birth - age 5) - First Friday of the month, bring your twins and other siblings and meet other families with multiples. Share and discuss tips for raising multiples.
Music Together 9:30-10:15 am (birth-4 years) (January) - A joyful musical experience for parents or caregivers and children, with singing, dancing and instrumental play.

Terrific Twos - Getting ready for Preschool (2-3 years) (January) - While children learn to separate from their parents and play in a preschool-like setting, parents discuss the huge developmental changes of the two year old.

Please choose your workshop carefully, since Parents Place is unable to issue refunds if you cancel your participation in a workshop. If you are unable to attend a workshop and you provide at least one week's advance notice to us, we will apply your payment to another workshop. If you cancel less than a week before a class, you will forfeit your payment. If JFCS Parents Place cancels a group or workshop, you are entitled to a full refund or credit for a future workshop.
