Parent / Child Activities

Parents Place is a caring, family resource center with two Peninsula locations that offer quarterly Parent/Child workshops and a wonderful drop-in play center for parents with their children, ages 0 - 5. The Palo Alto Drop-In is open Tuesday/Thursday from 10:30 - Noon and Wednesday from 3:30 - 5 p.m.  The San Mateo Drop-In is open Tuesday/Friday, 9:30 - 11 a.m. and Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. - Noon.

• Toddler Social Club (16 - 24 months)  (September) - Discuss the joys and challenges of getting to know your new toddler!
• Terrific Twos - Getting Ready for Preschool (2 - 3 years) (September) - While children learn to separate from their parents and play in a preschool-like setting, parents discuss the huge developmental changes of the two year old.
• Music Together 9:30 AM (birth - 4 years) (September) - A 12-session joyful musical experience for parents or caregivers and their children.
• Parent and Me Yoga (2 - 5 years) (September) - Young children accompanied by a parent or caregiver learn the foundation of yoga in a fun and playful way with Brandy Stroh, certified play.yoga instructor.
• Music Together 10:30 (birth to age 4) (September) - A 12-session joyful musical experience for parents or caregivers and children, with singing, dancing, and instrument play.
• Twins Drop In (birth - age 5) - First Friday of the month, bring your twins and other siblings and meet other families. Share and discuss tips for raising multiples.

• Kids Turn(4 - 17 years) - A parent/child workshop for families experiencing parental separation or divorce. The focus of this workshop is on the children and supporting them while the family reorganizes.
• TWIN Drop-in Play, every 4th Tuesday of the Month (New Time) (September) - Please note that this is a NEW time different from the Fall Calendar. We had to change the schedule due to the numerous Holidays that fall on the 4th Thursday of the month. The Twin Drop-in Play will coincide with the regular Drop-in Play Tuesday Schedule.
• Drop-In Play - Wednesdays - Join us in our fun, stimulating playroom for an hour and a half of play with your child. Ideal for children under 5 years old. Instructor: Parents Place Staff
