Amy Weiss, MS, MFT

Director of Parents Place

A seasoned clinician and parent educator, with particular expertise in the areas of early childhood mental health, child/parent psychotherapy, trauma, and issues of concern for parents of young children (sleep, discipline, and potty training), Amy brings her many years of professional experience to Parents Place, where she oversees programming for parents and children. Amy is also a faculty member at Parents Place’s Child Trauma Training Institute and has presented widely on identifying and treating trauma in young children. In addition, she provides parent coaching and consultations. A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Amy received two master’s degrees—in marriage and family counseling and in rehabilitation counseling—from San Francisco State University.
