Parent and Child Brief Consultation (1 – 6 sessions)

Whether you come by yourself or together with your child and other family members, whether you come only once or several times, our promise is that by the end of each visit, you will have some useful information and strategies that can be immediately helpful in addressing your main concerns or worries. Our goal is to offer you a “road map,” so you can choose a path that is right for you and your family.

Below are examples of frequent topics that can be addressed successfully through a consultation with one of the members of our multidisciplinary staff :

  • My child has no friends—Is a social skills group appropriate?

  • My child was diagnosed with ADHD by his teacher—What do I do next?

  • I am looking for a preschool for my child who has language and learning delays.

  • I am told that my child has sensory issues and poor impulse control and needs play therapy.

  • My 10-year-old is very anxious and refuses to go to school.

  • My teen daughter is very smart but is getting failing grades in school.

  • My son, adopted at the age of 7 from Russia, has been found shoplifting.

  • My husband and I are about to separate, and we are worried about telling the kids.
