Avoid paying unnecessary fees to the IRS, Employment Development Department, Social Security and other local, state, and federal agencies for misclassifying and paying household workers as contractors (paying them an hourly fee only) when they're actually employees for whom you must provide benefits, withhold taxes, and more.  Diana Maier, an employment attorney, will also cover how to determine whether household employees are exempt from overtime requirements and what to do in cases which are ambiguous. This class will be customized to fit the needs of parents who might get caught off guard by aggressive government policies seeking to needlessly penalize parents who already have enough on their minds!
