Samuel Sweet, PhD

Clinical Psychologist

Sam provides assessment, consultation, and diagnostic services at Parents Place’s Center for Special Needs, where he works with families whose children are experiencing a variety of challenges. These challenges include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHC); disorders on the autism spectrum; learning disabilities; speech/language deficits; and behavioral, cognitive, and socialization challenges. Experienced in working with families from many backgrounds and children of all ages (from under 2 to college-age), Sam has worked in clinic-, school-, hospital-, and nonprofit agency-based settings. Fluent in Spanish, Sam graduated with a double major in psychology and Spanish from Washington University and earned his master’s degree and PhD in clinical psychology from DePaul University. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Children’s Health Council in Palo Alto.
