Alissa Hirshfeld-Flores, MA, MFT

Clinical Counselor

At Parents Place, Alissa effectively and compassionately helps children and teens, often along with their families, to work through challenges and concerns in their lives. She does so by drawing on her extensive training, which includes psychodynamic theory, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and expressive arts. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, Alissa worked at Harvard’s medical school, where she researched the causes of and treatments for depressive disorders. She subsequently earned a master’s degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
