Barbara facilitates workshops to help adoptive families create lifebooks for their children, and she also offers positive and mindful parenting classes. Over the past few years, she has also made presentations on parenting tools for mothers in recovery, establishing traditions and values in families, and sibling rivalry. As a parenting coach, Barbara has offered education, support, and encouragement for 25 years. Her first book, Easy Does It, Mom, was published in 2009. Her second book, Moms to Moms, was released in 2011. Barbara earned her bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University.
